BATON ROUGE, LA – Joint law enforcement efforts led by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit have resulted in the arrests of two Louisiana men this week, in separate incidents on child pornography charges.

“My office and I take all cases regarding child exploitation very seriously. We will continue to work with law enforcement and other officials to ensure the safety of our citizens,” said General Landry.

David Aswad (legally changed to David Black), 35, of Shreveport, was arrested Wednesday, February 17, 2016, after a joint investigation by General Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Shreveport Police Department, Bossier City Marshall’s Office, and Louisiana State Police. An investigation was conducted into the possible possession of child pornography, which led to Aswald’s residence.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Louisiana Department of Justice for Aswad for 38 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles under the age of 13 years old. On February 17, 2016. Aswad was arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office on the outstanding arrest warrant.

Rolando Corral, 23, of Chalmette, was arrested Friday, February 19, 2016, after a joint investigation by General Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office. The investigation revealed the possession of child pornography and executed a search warrant on the residence of Mr. Corral.

Based upon evidence located during the search of the residence, and statements made by Corral, he was arrested on 5 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles. Corral was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Prison.
