Attorney General Jeff Landry Announces Child Exploitation Arrest of William Secrist

BATON ROUGE, LA – A joint effort involving Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit (CCU) and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of a Washington Parish man on numerous charges related to the sexual exploitation of children.

William Secrist, 23, of Franklinton was arrested last week on one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, three counts of Felony Carnal Knowledge, and one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

On February 17, investigators received information that Secrist was having an inappropriate relationship with a 16 year-old female, in violation of Louisiana law. After verifying the relationship, investigators obtained an arrest warrant. On February 18, Secrist was arrested by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s CCU and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
