Attorney General Jeff Landry Arrests Three Women on Medicaid Fraud Charges.

BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry announced today that three Louisiana women have been arrested by his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in separate cases.

“Our award-winning fraud detection and prevention unit will continue to protect our State’s valuable resources by arresting criminals who defraud Louisiana,” said General Landry. “And we are currently working to expand our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit to meet the challenges of the Governor’s Medicaid expansion.”

Ashley Stewart, 30 of Ponchatoula, was arrested on Medicaid fraud charges for allegedly billing for services that were never rendered. Stewart has been booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Marilyn Rowe, 61 of Minden, was arrested for Simple Battery of Persons with Infirmities after allegedly hitting her resident several times. Rowe has been booked into the Caddo Parish Prison

Chevette Austin, 40 of Marrero, was arrested on Medicaid fraud charges after allegedly billing for services not rendered. Austin has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
