Arrests Two for Child Exploitation
BATON ROUGE, LA
– Attorney General Jeff Landry has arrested two men in Louisiana on child
exploitation charges.
“I
have an unwavering commitment to protect our children from sexual exploitation,”
said General Landry. “My office will continue to use all the resources possible
to bring child predators to justice.”
John Salpietra. 24 of Denham Springs, was arrested on two counts of
Distribution of Sexual Abuse Images and/or Videos of Children. He was booked
into the Livingston Parish Prison following a joint investigation between the
Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security
Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Livingston Parish
Sheriff’s Office
Chris Rome, 31 of Picayune (MS), was arrested in Slidell on one count of
Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. He was booked into the Slidell City Jail
following a joint investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of
Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, the Slidell
Police Department, the Mandeville Police Department, and the West Baton Rouge
Parish Sheriff’s Office.
General
Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit has investigated thousands of computer crimes that
have victimized children from infants to 16 years of age. To report child
