Veterans Day Challenge Issued by Attorney General Jeff Landry

BATON ROUGE, LA – Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today issued a challenge for every Louisianan across the State to thank a veteran.

“Veterans Day is a celebration of the brave men and women who have given of themselves to protect our freedoms and God-given rights,” said General Landry. “Our State and our Nation would not be what it is today without the selfless service of those in the Armed Forces."

"From our parents to our parishioners to our friends, Louisiana is blessed to have so many veterans live here; and I am honored to fight for them and their families," continued General Landry. "And today I am encouraging my neighbors across our State to thank a veteran."

Louisiana citizens are encouraged to share their thanks for veterans on General Landry’s facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AGJeffLandry/.

“It is no coincidence that Veterans Day and Thanksgiving are both in November, as these holidays are wonderful expressions of gratitude for our blessings,” concluded General Landry. “So please join me in thanking our veterans.”

Attorney General Jeff Landry is a veteran of Desert Storm and left the military with the rank of Sergeant. He received the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, a National Defense Ribbon, an Overseas Training Ribbon, and the Louisiana War Cross from his 11 years of service as a member of the Louisiana National Guard.
