Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrested two Ascension Parish men for various charges on Tuesday, March 12.

·         Jeremy Crochet (W/M, DOB 6/25/1993) was arrested for violating:

LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles (Felony)

14 Counts

LA R.S. 14:89.3 SEXUAL ABUSE OF AN ANIMAL (Felony)  

20 Counts

·         Raymond Welch Jr (W/M DOB 8/30/1951) was arrested for violating:

LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles (Felony)

500 Counts

Both investigations were initiated as a result of cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

While the cases are not related, they both came about from a joint investigation with Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Both men were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
