St. George Petition Certified by East Baton Rouge Parish Registrar of Voters

BATON ROUGE, LA - The Honorable Steve Raborn, Registrar of Voters of East Baton Rouge Parish, today affirmed and certified that twenty-five percent or more of the electors residing in the area proposed for incorporation have signed the petition to incorporate the proposed City of St. George.

Because twenty-five percent or more of the electors residing in the area proposed for incorporation have signed the petition, Registrar of Voters Raborn has forwarded this certificate to the governor, pursuant to La. R.S. 33:2(C).

Pursuant to La. R.S. 33:3(A), the governor shall determine if the petition complies with the provisions of La. R.S. 33:1, et seq.

Pursuant to La. R.S. 18:154 and La. R.S. 44:1, et seq., the petition to incorporate the proposed City of St. George is a public record. Public records are available for inspection in the Office of the Registrar of Voters, located at City Hall, 222 St. Louis St., Room 201, Baton Rouge, LA. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. If an individual would like to request a copy of any public record, he or she must provide the written request of twenty-five or more qualified voters, pursuant to La. R.S. 18:154(B)(1)(a).
