AG Jeff Landry: By putting precedent over patients, Justice Roberts gave his vote to a decision that ignored the overwhelming bipartisan support of Act 620 and the extensive record of Louisiana abortion providers’ history of medical malpractice, disciplinary actions, and violations of health and safety standards.

AG Jeff Landry: I thank Governor DeSantis and General Moody for not only recognizing the success our State has made slowing the spread of Coronavirus but also, and most especially, for removing the travel restrictions that had been placed on Louisiana travelers. Many Louisiana citizens travel to Florida to visit family, conduct business, or get much-needed vacations; today’s declaration helps make those movements a lot easier.

AG Jeff Landry: The federal government is indeed sending debit cards to some people, and those recipients should follow all directions provided with the prepaid cards.

After a flattening the curve and a slowing of the spread of the Coronoavirus, Attorney General Jeff Landry has joined legislators in asking the Governor to re-open our State and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of Louisiana’s hard-working people.

AG Jeff Landry: Thousands of consumers were exposed to unnecessarily high levels of risk when they were placed into auto loans with a high probability of default. This settlement with the auto loan giant not only provides relief to those consumers, but also requires Santander to factor in a consumer’s ability to pay a loan into its underwriting in the future.

AG Jeff Landry: As your Attorney General, I am committed to making our State a safer place for families. By taking just a brief moment to learn about these recalled products, we can help protect the safety and well-being of all Louisiana children.

General Landry: My office and I will leave no stone left unturned in doing what we legally can to protect Louisiana’s children from those who seek to exploit and abuse them. These public safety efforts include arresting people whose positions of authority demand public trust.

General Landry: Recent reports suggest that the communist Chinese government willfully and knowingly concealed information about the severity of the virus while simultaneously stockpiling personal protective equipment.

General Landry: We have thousands of licensed cosmetologists in our State; many are independent contractors who have no other source of income and are struggling to make ends meet. They not only want to serve their clients, but they also need to work in order to put food on their tables and provide for their children.

General Landry: We are be better served by taking a proactive approach by publishing reopening guidelines that take a phased approach to faith services restarting. Without guidance based on best practices in place, this could be disastrous.

General Landry: I want to caution everyone that these drugs do not represent a silver bullet or magic solution to our COVID-19 coronovirus crisis; however, many medical doctors have chosen to prescribe these drugs to relieve symptoms of the virus in some patients. In some cases, this could allow the recoveries of these patients without the use of ventilators.
